Course Description: This course is second in a series of three, and examines the structure and function of the cells and tissues of the human digestive and respiratory systems.  These online histology courses not only give a good broad overview of structure and function of the human body, but also provide necessary background for the study of pathology, including practice in interpreting tissue samples in which disease is present.  Note: Histology Basics (CMM 547) is a prerequisite for either of the two organ system histology courses.
