Research Interests: 

Research in my laboratory centers on the biological process of Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT). Valve formation the embryonic heart begins with a localized EMT that produces the progenitors of valve cells. EMT is also a component of cancer metastasis. Recent work focuses on novel regulators of EMT found in embryo and tumor tissues.
