UA AHA SURF - How to Apply

Eligibility

Applicants must be enrolled full-time or be a recent graduate of an undergraduate degree program at a four-year college or university. Students must be classified at junior or senior academic status at the start of the program, or they may complete the program immediately following graduation. Students must be citizens of the United States or foreign national holding a student, exchange, or permanent resident visa. Students who complete the fellowship are eligible to apply for one additional year of AHA support.

Application

Interested students should apply through the AHA SURF Program Application. Applications must be received by 11:59pm on February 15th. Applicants will be required to submit their resume/CV, college transcripts (unofficial is fine), and a 1-2 page personal statement addressing your interest in cardiovascular drug discovery, your research goals, your prior research experience and project description (if any), and your career goals. Applicants may also indicate their preferred faculty mentor from the list of program mentors.

Selection Process

Applications will be reviewed and ranked by a selection committee. Applicants will be notified of the result of their application no later than April 15th.
