Pre-health professional students can take advantage of our one-credit courses to round out their schedule while learning the basics and experiencing the culture of the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson. Online "Basics" courses are specially designed to meet the needs of pre-health professions students, making connections to clinically-relevant aspects of each topic.

How to Register

Courses are available for enrollment by graduate students and upper-division undergraduate students. Current UArizona graduate students and upper-division undergraduate students can visit schedule.arizona.edu, navigate to Main Campus (iCourses), and search for the Subject “CMM” to see availability prior to registering.

If you are not a current UArizona student, you can enroll in courses after you are admitted to the University as a non-degree seeking student. Check below for eligibility and admissions information, including cost and application deadlines.

Dr. Kelvin Pond Receives 2025 Project Cure CRC Young Investigator Accelerator Award

Kelvin Pond, PhD, Assistant Professor of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, received the 2025 Project Cure CRC Young Investigator Accelerator Award from the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. The awards consists of a total grant of $188K to support his project titled, “Dissection of PI3K and MAPK Dynamics in Patient-Derived Colorectal Cancer Organoids for Accelerating Therapeutic Development.”
