Dr. Lonnie Lybarger Appointed to Virtual Microscopy Database Leadership Board

Following a competitive search, Dr. Lonnie Lybarger has been appointed to the Administrative Board for the Virtual Microscopy Database. Originally sponsored by the American Association for Anatomy, the Virtual Microscopy Database is accessed by over 2,000 users and serves as one of the largest repositories of digital, interactive microscopy slides. Building on his contributions to histology education and scholarship in his role as the College of Medicine – Tucson’s Discipline Director for Histology and Cell Biology, Dr. Lybarger will join an internationally-acclaimed team of histology and medical educators in maintaining the database, growing the collection, and promoting its use for education, research, and scholarship.
